  1. Pretty sad I’ve worked almost 50 years and you’re still taxing the s*** out of me boy thanks for the generous raise of 0.8% on my old age pension you really want the extra mile I guess we got to pay for all those hundred thousand plus bureaucrats that the government’s hired

  2. They should have a monthly payment for people with food allergies such as celiac disease. It is hard to budget a senior’s income of a little over 2000 a month when a loaf of bread can be up to $10 a loaf.

  3. Instead of giving people this “rebate” lower the price of groceries already.

It’s just costing tax payers more money to implement this thing.

I buy groceries like ever other person. Such a joke this government.

  4. Lets see where to begin.. applied carbon tax. Raised gas, food , and power, so low income then gets rent hikes. Forced to bag our own groceries plus bring required bags cause of the burden of plastics environmental issues. Government is taxing the air we breathe, the food we eat, the fuel to run our homes, cut our grass, trying to force us to buy electric vehicles, that are out of price range, that many areas can’t support with our power grids, brings in new Canadian people to take jobs the original Canadians are fighting to keep, hmmmm yeah… Then they send out rebate cheques to help us to pay the extra costs that the government created.. i forgot.. has allowed the power and gas companies to over charge clients for power and gas to run our homes where the rider fees are phenomenally more than the services provided… So…. Why is this not repaired yet ? No solution from our lazy government? Yet we receive the partial repayments .. of $$$ we spent.. all they needed to to was stop cutting down forests of trees and replant additional trees costing less waste more jobs. Less jobs in government requirements.. and more in recycling.. just thinking government is backwards from the top down. And someone needs to do cuts from the top down..not this rebate stuff.. not kool Trudeau. While ur at it.. the weed program hurts our young population..cause they now think it’s ok to smoke this stuff that is harmful to them and ..need to up the age to at least 25 .. Trudeau you need to get out and go back to school , you don’t know what you have done to our youth and their families…

    • Most of your complaining doesn’t make sense. You get carbon tax rebates that are almost certainly more than you paid out unless you drive 40,000km a year in a huge F-150.
You are making money with the rebates. Btw , food isn’t taxed except for SOME ready to eat stuff like a box of candies , or take-out from restaurants.
As for weed, the kids were getting it from pushers before which encouraged crime. Making it legal doesn’t encourage young people to use it , they have their own minds. If they want pot, they would get it either way. Nissan , Hyundai , GM and others all make EV’s that are affordable , in the same range as gas vehicles. You are just like a sheep, complaining because P.Poilievre tells us everything Trudeau does is bad. Most countries now have a carbon tax based on the way Canada does it. Experts around the world say the program is needed. The Carbon tax on utilities is only a few dollars, under $7 and you get that back in rebates. The Liberals have given us the best government we have had in many years. People are never happy.

      • well said. But. how can you justify our tax dollars being thrown about like confetti? how can Trudeau accept a $16,000 raise as he and his parliament advise “us” to budget wisely? He should give from his own bank account for many of his projects. There is an ongoing pension plan for current and at least 3 retired gov generals that costs our society well over $1,000,000.00 every year to allow them to “maintain a lifestyle they are used to”. Pierre Pollieve is real. His ideas are real. If I am a sheep, I can only hope he will be my sheepherder. I will not believe that he would expect $6000 a nite for room in Britain. $6000.00 represent just under 30% of my annual income. I have worked all my life contributing a share. I believe taxes are necessary to maintain our country. But watching all of our hardearned savings (taxes) being slurped up by Trudeau and the Liberals through compensations and misspending, makes me so sad and angry that I voted for that party, once upon a time.

      • Are you some kind of a nutjob? Everything you said is a lie. We do NOT get back more than what we pay in carbon tax. That has been proven. I live in New Brunswick and I need my truck for work. I got a huge check deposited today for 74.50 for the carbon incentive. I pay a hell of a lot more than 300 a year for the darbon tax on fuel, groceries and home heating. I seriously can’t believe what you said. Typical liberal. And you wonder why 90 percent of the country wants your leader out now!

      • To Ray: How does the carbon tax help the environment? I just don’t see how it makes things better. I agree with Darlene that planting more trees helps the environment more than the carbon tax. The roads seem just as busy and regardless of the price of natural gas people still need to heat their homes in the winter. I don’t care for Trudeau or P. Poilievre. They are both puppets.

      • Trudeau is OUT next election….I don’t know where your living , but Canada is a mess , and if Darline Brooker is a sheep…your a wolf ! Time for a government that REALLY works for the people! Even his wife couldn’t stand him-no wonder!

      • Actually there is only 27 countries that have a carbon tax. And I pay a lot more than $7 for my carbon tax on natural gas. Also, groceries have gone up because of the high cost of carbon pricing g of fuel. You have to figure in what the farmer has to pay to have fuel brought in, the actual fuel used in food production, the fuel used for shipping food out and so on down the line. Plus, there is gst on the carbon tax. We are only at .04% carbon and if it goes down to .02% life on earth is finished. Why don’t all these governments go after the real polluters like China? Oh yeah, China is helping Trudeau win elections.
