  1. Bill C 22 payments are being held back for years from disabled Canadians . If this was for immigrants, or for a foreign country payments do not take this long. It is a disgrace for our government to stumble and delay these desperately needed funds. Disgrace !!!!!!

      • I think you have to get every doctor paper again. It’s coming from social services. They are just paying part to bring the amount higher. So it works out to 1000 a month. But I tried to do this. I was told about it a few months ago. When I found out I qualified then the problems started. 2 months of bank statements. Another dr letter written on a certain form. Any etransfers you got you have to get an email from the person or organization to say it’s not income. They want a profile letter from your bank. It’s crazy. They had me running all over the place and I’m on disability. Cppd. I get 695. A month. I’m 62. I don’t get old age pension. And I don’t get child tax credit. So I have to survive I. This. Yet here they are bringing more immigrants and giving them every thing can can want. And we suffer. Anyway I couldn’t do it. Imy personal banking stuff is no bodies business. So I wouldn’t get email for them. It was I. Amounts like 20.00. maybe 50. And I think my daughter sent me 100. But they want all or personal information and what the money was sent to you for. Even asked me if I was babysitting. Seriously. I walked out if the office. To hell with them

  2. It seems everything is all over the place here there was talk of getting us out of poverty and giving everyone at least $1000. more a month.
This Bill was past last June through the very last stages of getting it through Royal Assent we shouldn’t even be waiting until April.
But say if I’m getting $1003 a month with and extra $300 added on which by the way is always good to have a little more to help out.
But I’m sorry I’m still well below the poverty line and I’m not even sure as it doesn’t tell you nowhere if I’m even getting this extra $300 being on CPPD like can these guys PLEASE explain how it works and who qualifies keep it simple.
Just say ok if your already receiving CPPD don’t worry your automatically qualified for Bill C 22 there simple done no confusion.

  5. Mr Prime Minister I had great hopes when bill C-22 became law. Both my wife and I are on disability and to say we feel hopeless is an understatement. Do the right thing and get this program under way so we like thousands of other Canadians can live with dignity

  7. I work over 43 years. I’m on the cpp-d. I don’t get the max. The gov makes it sound like extra money but it is the same cpp-d with a small incrimate of approx 80.00 per month. With rent average at 1,360.00 that would leave me 62.00 for living expenses. There is no way to do it.

  8. Canada would rather help immigrants and other countries before helping their own, especially the disability community. Canada wants to keep the disabled living below the poverty line.
